Robot Mecha Godzilla 1974 Scheduled

According to an article on the Mainichi website, Bandai plans a December release for their Mecha-Godzilla 1974 radio control monster robot. The robot, which stands roughly 50 cm tall, features shining LED eyes, 10 degrees of freedom/movement, and dramatic sound effects. Pricing here is expected to be 84,000 yen (approximately USD$760). No overseas sales plans or timing was announced.

We're great fans of master/slave control systems for robotics, especially for humanoids like the rigs used for some ROBO-ONE champions. Of course, those rigs are home-made by hobbyists on a limited budget. So it was interesting, and a little awesome, to see what professionals can do with big budgets and access to the latest technology.
